23rd Annual ‘And Justice for All’ Awards Luncheon
The 23rd Annual ‘And Justice for All’ Annual Awards Luncheon was an historic occasion – our first ever virtual event. Here are some highlights from our wonderful online gathering.
The compelling 2020 Client Video presentation was about an immigrant who intends to make a better life for herself and for her children, no matter what obstacles she faces. With the help of Legal Aid attorney Jonathan Garcia, Fabiola is doing just that.
We celebrated the people who do all they can to improve the legal outcomes of those in need, presenting the following awards:
The George R. Corey-Linda M. Gemello Award
We presented this year's George R. Corey – Linda M. Gemello Award to Jonathan Garcia, Senior Staff Attorney. The George R. Corey – Linda M. Gemello Award is presented in recognition of an attorney who exemplifies a commitment to work every day to obtain justice for all.
The Guardian of Justice Award
We presented this year's Guardian of Justice Award to Covington & Burling LLP. The Guardian of Justice award is given each year in recognition of volunteers whose efforts are steeped in a commitment to justice for all the children, families, and seniors in our community.
The Natalie M. Lanam Award
We presented this year's Natalie M. Lanam Award to Tim Clark. The Natalie M. Lanam Award is in memory of a community leader whose passion for justice for all compelled her to become an important advocate for the Legal Aid society of San Mateo County.
The Dorothy M. Wolfe Award
We presented this year's Dorothy M. Wolfe award to Srija Srinivasan, Deputy Chief, San Mateo County Health. The Dorothy M. Wolfe award is in memory of one of the first women attorneys in San Mateo County, noted for her deep belief in equal access to justice.
