The Legal Aid SMC Impact Report is a snapshot of our organization's yearly activities. We are proud to highlight the courage and determination of our clients, and we thank the many volunteers, community partners, and supporters who make this work possible.
Eviction Reports
Researchers at Stanford University studied the complete universe of residential unlawful detainer (eviction) filings in San Mateo County for calendar years 2019 and 2023, the first full year before and after COVID-19-related moratoria and rental assistance were in place. The report was published in 2025 and prepared on behalf of Legal Aid SMC and Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto (CLSEPA).
