Medi-Cal is available to everyone regardless of immigration status, as long as other requirements are met.

Access to things like gender affirming care, reproductive healthcare services, and fertility preservation services are all accessible in California and generally covered by Medi-Cal.

DACA recipients will still be eligible to enroll in a Covered California plan for the first time ever during the next open enrollment period, which is 11/1/24-12/31/24.

California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform (CANHR) is a nonprofit dedicated to improving the choices, care and quality of life for California’s long term care consumers. CANHR provides guidance with special needs trusts, Medi-Cal eligibility and estate recovery when someone is in a skilled nursing facility, and more. Referrals are available for representation on these issues but there is a charge for these services.
