We are hard at work making sure that immigrants know their rights! That includes our longstanding efforts with local organizations like the Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC) through the CRISP and San Mateo County Removal Defense Collaboratives. Last month, the ILRC was featured in the New York Times for their work distributing Red Cards, which help immigrant families understand and assert their rights. The article highlights the sharp increase in demand for these cards, totaling 9 million Red Cards since the election in November. It also shares two success stories from people using their Red Cards to protect themselves when threatened by ICE activity and was accompanied by a short video.
